Education

Dr. Tanushi Ambekar graduated from India with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. She then practiced dentistry in a various health settings, rural, urban and as a lecturer in a dental school, which gave her a lot of experience. She moved to Canada in 2012 and got into the Advanced Placement program and graduated from the University of Alberta in 2019. She worked in Red deer for a year before she joined us.

Practice Philosophy

Dr. Ambekar is exceptional when it comes to patient care. Having had traumatic dental experience as a child, Dr Ambekar makes sure she empathizes with her patients throughout their dental appointment. Her commitment to excellence, quality, and detail in her work, and her focus on patient comfort is commendable. Dr. Ambekar loves educating her patients and loves to make the experience positive for them.

Home Life

Dr. Ambekar lives  with her husband and two beautiful daughters and loves to sing, knit and spend time with family doing outdoor activities. She is also associated with a non profit organization and mentors foreign trained dentists in their journey to get license to practice in North America.

My Mission

Dr. Punjabi’s mission is to create a safe space where her patients can feel at ease to talk about their oral health concerns and achieve a beautiful, confident smile with a healthy dentition. She is known for her calm demeanor and her goal is to ensure that the dental visit is a comfortable experience for her patients. She feels privileged to be a healthcare provider and strives to cultivate a strong and meaningful relationship with her patients. Dr. Punjabi is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Association (WSDA), Pierce County Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She continues to take additional dental courses to keep herself up to date on the advances in dentistry so that she can provide high quality dental care to the families in her care.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Punjabi graduated from dental school and worked as a Prosthodontist in India. She also worked as a dental assistant in Seattle, WA before getting accepted at the prestigious Ivy League University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Her love for the beautiful Pacific Northwest made her return to her adopted hometown, the state of WA! She is passionate about practicing dentistry and calls it her first love. When outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors or taking dancing lessons. She is fond of rollercoasters and indoor racecar driving and plans to try more of these activities during her time off work.
